Chronotraces Guide

Metal, Composite, Fiber, Chemicals, Energy, and Idea are the six Chronotrace types. Dismantling items supplies traces used to charge blueprints and replenish replication limits. Check which types your blueprint needs, then use the Refiner preview to choose what to dismantle.

At a glance

  • The current categories are Metal, Composite, Fiber, Chemicals, Energy, and Idea.
  • Dismantling items in the Refiner produces corresponding traces, with valuable raid finds generally producing more.
  • Spend traces to charge replication blueprints and restore their remaining replication count.

How to collect the Chronotraces you need

  1. Choose one blueprint in the Replicator instead of trying to fund everything.
  2. Write down the Chronotrace types and amounts the blueprint still needs.
  3. Select a raid whose marked resource zones and environment are likely to contain matching item types.
  4. Extract first-time recipe items and objective loot before collecting generic trace material.
  5. Preview dismantling outputs in the Refiner and stop as soon as the blueprint requirement is met.

The six Chronotrace types

The official crafting update names Metal, Composite, Fiber, Chemicals, Energy, and Idea as separate resource types. A blueprint can require a mixture of them.

Use the Refiner preview to check which types an item returns and how much you will receive. The names alone do not establish a reliable item-to-resource recipe, so check the output before dismantling.
