At a glance
- Open Workshop → Fusion. Update 0.4.0.156 moved Fusion to a separate Workshop tab; neither Refiner nor the old Replicator Fusion slot is the current route.
- The September beginner walkthrough shows a recipe offering several possible Chronogenes. A listed outcome is not a guarantee that your fusion will produce it.
- Tier III charges may exceed the former limit. Charging always adds a charge, while loss on death scales with the amount above the normal limit; the patch does not publish the exact formula.
Turn recovered remains into a Chronogene
- Loot suitable remains from defeated monsters and extract with them. Inspect their use before refining or selling them.
- In the shelter, open Workshop → Fusion and find the relevant Chronogene recipe.
- Read the required ingredients and the possible results. The video’s soldier-remains example offers Fine Motor Skills I / II and Examination I / II.
- Select the recipe, load the required materials and start fusion. Check the actual output before planning around a particular perk.
- Review the resulting Chronogene and its effect in your character’s Chronogene selection before taking it into a raid. Choose an effect that serves your loadout rather than assuming every result does the same job.

- Above the normal limit
- Extra charges are allowedDo not use an older “hard cap of 10” rule to judge whether charging can work.
- Death with excess charges
- Loss scales with the excessThe patch gives no exact loss formula. Do not budget on losing only one charge at every charge level.
- Duplicate tier III effects
- Identical tier III Chronogenes cannot be active togetherCheck your active selection before preparing a second identical tier III effect.

Avoid spending materials on the wrong assumption
The old guide sends you to Refiner for fusion.Open Workshop → Fusion. Use Refiner only when you intend to dismantle the remains into resources.
You expect a particular tier or perk from one fusion.Read all possible outputs and treat the result as uncertain unless the current recipe explicitly guarantees it.
You add many tier III charges assuming each death costs only one.Account for increased loss above the normal limit. Keep spare materials until you have compared the current charge display and your needs.
A crafting cost does not match an old screenshot.Use the cost displayed in your client. September updates changed fusion and restoration costs; old amounts are not reliable budgets.
