At a glance
- A placed beacon returns you to its position. A carried but unplaced beacon returns you to your original raid spawn; it does not put you at the death location.
- You may decline safe-container evacuation and wait for a revive. That preserves the chance to keep it with your equipment, but your body can still be looted.
- Move recovered goods from temporary storage into main storage before starting another raid. The temporary stash is cleared before that raid.
A network failure before spawning is a specific exception
Update 0.4.0.182 protects equipped gear when an internet connection failure prevents you from spawning into a raid. It does not state that every disconnect after spawning restores your loadout. Keep this exception separate from death, beacon returns and safe-container recovery.

Know what each recovery item does
- Ordinary beacon
- Return to the raid without your lost kitPlace it at a useful return position. Beacons can be picked up and moved.
- Unplaced beacon in your equipment
- Return at the original spawnThis rule requires a beacon; it is not a promise of a free respawn without one.
- Tactical beacon
- Return with random Agency rental equipmentThe official update describes rental gear, not restoration of your previous loadout.
- Safe container
- Recover the contents you chose to protectEquip an actual container and put the items inside it. An empty container slot protects nothing.
- Personal equipment
- An exception to equipment loss on deathThe Steam store excludes personal items from its death-loss rule. This does not protect an ordinary weapon just because you bought or carried it.

Choose between evacuation and waiting for help
- Check whether another operative can reach you and send the available SOS request for help. The official update allows operatives to revive players outside their own squad too.
- If you want to wait for a revive, you can decline safe-container evacuation. Consider whether the area is still reachable and whether enemies can loot your body.
- If you choose container evacuation, it recovers the protected contents. The creator’s walkthrough explains that the container is consumed, so plan to equip a replacement. Recovery does not include every item in your backpack or on your body.
- If using a beacon to return, plan around its placed position or your original spawn if it remained unplaced. Treat retrieving the old equipment as a separate, risky trip.

Empty temporary storage before the next raid
The same temporary-storage rule covers recovered safe containers, Robot Dog loot and equipment from rental raids. Recovery is not finished until you have moved the items you want to keep.
- Open the temporary recovery stash after returning to the shelter.
- Move the recovered items you want to keep into your main storage. Make space there if necessary.
- Check that no wanted items remain in the temporary stash before queueing again.
